Given to the Ground
A reclining figure extends across a wide, shifting field, its length echoing the breadth of the ground itself. At this scale, the body no longer sits within the landscape but becomes continuous with it, stretched into a space that feels both sustaining and consuming. Dense layers of green give way to a rising red field beneath, alive with movement, as if the ground is actively forming around and through the figure. The enclosing wood holds this exchange in place, not as a boundary but as a living edge, containing a moment where the body is given over to the field and quietly transformed within it.
